UltraLUX PRO™ IPL Treatments

UltraLUX PRO™ IPL is our precision light-based platform for treating visible redness, broken capillaries, pigmentation, acne-prone inflammation and overall photorejuvenation — plus professional hair removal. Each protocol is selected to suit your skin type, sensitivity and goals for a clear, even, healthier-looking finish.

Individual results vary. A consultation is required to confirm suitability, settings and expected outcomes for your skin type and concern.

UltraLUX PRO IPL overview
UltraLUX PRO™ IPL is different to laser. It uses filtered light with adjustable parameters — professional assessment matters for safety, stability and results.

UltraLUX PRO IPL vascular treatment
Vascular: redness + broken capillaries Targeted IPL protocols for visible facial redness, fine vessels and flushing patterns.

RednessCapillariesRosy toneBarrier-aware

UltraLUX PRO™ IPL for vascular concerns is designed to reduce the appearance of redness by delivering controlled pulses of filtered light that are selectively absorbed by haemoglobin (the pigment inside blood vessels). The goal is to target superficial vessels while protecting surrounding skin.

This treatment can be suitable for persistent cheek redness, fine “thread veins,” or broken capillaries around the nose and mid-face. Many clients also seek vascular IPL when their skin looks “flushed” in photos, under bright light, or after triggers like heat, exercise, alcohol, or spicy foods.

During treatment, sensations vary from warmth to a quick snap with each pulse. After treatment the skin can appear pink or warm for several hours. Targeted vessels may temporarily look darker or more visible before they fade, reflecting the natural clearance process.

We treat conservatively where needed, especially on reactive or redness-prone skin. Over-treatment can irritate the barrier and temporarily exaggerate redness, so your consultation matters: we assess pattern, sensitivity and skin type to choose safer settings and realistic outcomes.

Vascular outcomes often build across a course rather than a single appointment. Spacing and aftercare (especially strict SPF and heat management) influence how stable your results are over time, and maintenance can be recommended depending on triggers and lifestyle.

UltraLUX PRO IPL pigmentation treatment
Pigmentation: sun spots + uneven tone Targeted IPL settings to lift visible pigment while prioritising pigment-safe protocols.

UltraLUX PRO™ IPL for pigmentation targets excess melanin (pigment) using filtered light. When melanin absorbs the pulse, the pigmented area is gently heated so your skin can gradually clear the treated pigment through normal renewal pathways.

Pigmentation is not one-size-fits-all. Sun-related pigment often responds differently to hormonally driven pigmentation or post-inflammatory marks. That’s why we assess the type, depth and pattern of pigment before treatment — not just the shade you see on the surface.

A common and normal response after pigment-focused IPL is temporary darkening of spots (“coffee-grounding”) before they lift and fade. We guide aftercare carefully because picking, aggressive exfoliation, or unprotected sun can increase irritation and pigment rebound.

For pigment-prone skin, our priority is safety: conservative parameters, barrier support and strict SPF. Treating on recently tanned skin can increase risk, so we plan around your lifestyle and seasonality to protect your results.

Best outcomes usually come from a course combined with the right home routine (pigment modulators + barrier support). This approach improves tone progressively and predictably, without pushing your skin into unnecessary inflammation.

UltraLUX PRO IPL acne treatment
Acne: breakouts + inflammation support Light-based protocols designed to calm active breakouts and support clearer skin behaviour.

UltraLUX PRO™ IPL for acne-prone skin is commonly used as part of a broader acne plan to help reduce inflammatory activity and improve the look of active breakouts. It’s not positioned as a “cure,” but it can be a valuable support tool when used on the right candidate.

Specific light bands can help reduce the environment acne bacteria thrive in while calming visible redness and inflammation. Over a course, many clients report their skin looks less reactive and breaks out less intensely when paired with consistent barrier-friendly homecare.

Acne is multifactorial — hormones, stress, occlusive products, barrier disruption and medication can all contribute. That’s why we assess your history and routine to decide if IPL is appropriate now, or whether we should stabilise first with other modalities.

Post-breakout marks can be red (vascular) or brown (pigment). Your plan focuses on calming the inflammatory process first, then refining tone and texture once skin is stable, so you’re not constantly triggering irritation.

For best results, we often pair acne IPL with supportive treatments (such as LED recovery). The goal is healthier skin behaviour long-term: fewer inflamed breakouts, smoother texture, and better tolerance to active skincare.

UltraLUX PRO IPL photo rejuvenation
Photo rejuvenation: glow + overall clarity A “skin quality” approach to improve tone, clarity and early sun damage patterns.

GlowTone clarityEarly photodamageEven finish

UltraLUX PRO™ IPL photo rejuvenation is ideal when you want overall improvement in how your skin looks — clearer tone, calmer appearance and a more refined glow in different lighting. It’s often chosen when skin feels dull, uneven or sun-affected.

Photo rejuvenation protocols can address multiple visual targets at once: background redness, superficial pigment and uneven tone. Instead of treating one spot, the goal is a more uniform complexion and improved “skin quality” across the whole area.

Some clients notice early brightness after the initial settling period, while the most meaningful results tend to build progressively across a course. This is because clarity and tone stability improve over time when we treat gently and consistently.

We support results with practical guidance: daily SPF, hydration and the right active ingredients (when appropriate). Consistency is what protects your glow and prevents pigment rebound.

If you’re also working on tightening or collagen stimulation, we can help sequence your plan so treatments complement each other without overloading the skin — keeping the finish polished, not irritated.

UltraLUX PRO™ IPL hair removal

Hair removal is about targeting the follicle through its growth cycle — which is why a course is essential for long-term reduction.

UltraLUX PRO™ IPL hair removal works by delivering light energy that is absorbed by pigment in the hair shaft and follicle. The absorbed light converts to heat, helping disrupt the follicle’s ability to produce hair over time.

Because hair grows in cycles, not all hairs are treatable at once. That’s why hair removal is designed as a course, spaced to catch new hairs as they enter the active growth phase. Your spacing and number of sessions depends on the area and your growth pattern.

Results vary by hair colour and thickness. Darker, coarser hair typically responds best because it contains more pigment. Very light, grey or red hair may respond less predictably, and we’ll be transparent about what to expect at your consult.

Safe treatment also depends on skin tone and tanning history. Recently tanned skin increases risk, so we plan around sun exposure. We’ll guide shaving timing and what to avoid between sessions (for example, waxing or epilating) so the follicle can be targeted correctly.

Many clients love the side benefits: fewer ingrowns, smoother-looking skin and less irritation. When paired with the right home routine, hair reduction can feel like a “skin upgrade” as much as a convenience upgrade.

Suitability is assessed clinically. We may modify or postpone treatment if you are recently tanned, pregnant, on photosensitising medications, or prone to pigment changes.

Pairs beautifully with

If your goal is next-level skin quality, we can build a plan where treatments support each other.

HIFU skin tightening

If your focus is firmness and lift, HIFU skin tightening targets deeper structural support while IPL focuses on surface clarity (tone, redness, pigment). When sequenced correctly, this combination can create a tighter, cleaner-looking finish.

BioRePeel

BioRePeel can support glow and smoother texture when your skin is ready for controlled resurfacing. We’ll time it around IPL so your barrier stays strong and results stay stable.

MediLUX LED light therapy

MediLUX LED light therapy supports recovery and barrier comfort. LED can calm redness, support acne programs and reduce post-treatment sensitivity — making progress between sessions feel smoother.

UltraLUX PRO™ IPL FAQs

Straight answers, clinically framed. We’ll confirm suitability and settings in consultation.

How many UltraLUX PRO™ IPL sessions will I need?
Most goals respond best as a course. Vascular, pigmentation, acne support and photorejuvenation are typically spaced several weeks apart depending on your skin and concern. Hair removal is also course-based due to hair growth cycles. Your plan is personalised after assessment.
What does UltraLUX PRO™ IPL feel like?
Most clients describe a quick warm snap with each pulse. Comfort depends on the area, your sensitivity and the settings required. We keep treatment controlled and can adjust where appropriate.
Is there downtime after IPL?
Many clients experience mild redness or warmth for several hours. Pigment can temporarily darken before it fades, and vessels may appear darker briefly before clearance. We’ll explain what is normal for your specific protocol.
Can I do IPL if I’m tanned or using fake tan?
Recently tanned skin increases risk because there is more surface melanin competing for light absorption. We recommend avoiding sun exposure and fake tan before treatment. If you are tanned, we may postpone or modify the plan for safety.
What should I avoid after UltraLUX PRO™ IPL?
Avoid heat exposure, aggressive exfoliation and unprotected sun. Use gentle barrier care and daily SPF. Avoid picking at any darkened pigment. Aftercare is tailored to your concern and skin type.
Can I combine UltraLUX PRO™ IPL with other treatments?
Yes, with proper sequencing. IPL pairs well with LED for recovery and can be combined with HIFU when planned correctly to avoid overloading the skin.
